Summer Research Internships testing the effects of management practices on soil carbon and nitrogen dynamics.

We are hiring undergraduate research assistants for summer 2019. The students will assist with research testing the effects of management practices on soil carbon and nitrogen dynamics. Work will be conducted in the laboratory and in the field.
 
Timing: Full-time work is available over the summer. There may be opportunities to work part-time in the spring and fall semesters as well.
 
Responsibilities: Plot layout and maintenance, soil and plant sampling, soil and plant analysis, data entry and management.
 
Qualifications: The ideal applicant will have a strong interest in soil science and agroecology, experience conducting lab and/or field research, good attention to detail, and the ability to work outside in all conditions. A valid driver’s license is required.
 
Pay:  Competitive hourly pay is dependent on experience, opportunities for PLS 395 credit exist as well.
